Description:
Pouh-Wung, although an ancient being, can be aptly described by a very modern term- a punk. Pouh was meant to fill the role that the Five Children of Heaven and Earth would come to be responsible for, but his attitude problems caused him to be sealed away within the earth, a cast away prototype. His unbalanced personality is due to all the elements being housed within him, the opposing forces throwing off what was suppose to be a sense of honor and duty. He's practically the definition of 'chaotic good.' Protecting Earth's well-being is in his very essence, yet he has a very destructive way of going about it. He has a very fuck-you-I-do-what-I-want attitude. Pouh picks fights, levels landscapes in a whim, and general caused trouble, all for his own amusement. Battle runs through Pouh's veins. He's obsessed with brawling, and looks everywhere he can for a good tussle. In combat, he's blunt, brutal, and near merciless. While he doesn't outright kill foes, he would happily break bones and dislocate limbs for a good laugh. For a guardian, Pouh is overly vicious and likes to humiliate foes terribly, stripping them of all pride if he can manage it. The protector-gone-bad loves to draw his long, thick, slimy tongue across the faces of foes just to disgust them. Another habit of his is to crack his knuckles loudly and conspicuously before battle or as he prepares to finish a fight. He also acts strangely around female monsters. As long as a she-beast isn't too hideous or insectoid- Pouh does not like bugs- he will try to impress her with his power and 'bad boy' image. He will even beat down she-monster to prove just how bad he is. Despite his heavily flawed character, Pouch is an aggressive defender of Earth. Whenever danger rears its ugly head and threatens the planet, you can bet that Pouh-Wung will be there to deliver a punch to the throat and a kick to the crotch.

Pouh is very bitter at his replacement by the Five Children of Heaven and Earth. He loathes Spars and Aeolshu and will do just about anything to make life harder for them. He's infatuated with Araad though. Although he'll makes passes at all suitable female giants, she is his ultimate conquest. It's quite obvious that she hates these advances and forcefully repels them with boulders to the head, but that won't stop Pouh-Wung. Pouh also hates Ketos, even more so than he does Spars and Aeolshu. He seems to take Araad's interest in converting the sea monster to good as something far more and treats the dragon like competition for the Earth's Sage.

Powers:
-Brawler: despite his slender form, Pouh is surprisingly strong, his spiked knuckles able to deliver nasty punches and a well placed kick strong enough to floor almost any beast; he particularly likes to deliver punches to the gut or throat, and kicks to the groin; Pouh can also constrict foes with his serpentine body, often pinning down their limbs, anchoring himself down with his own claws, and lapping at their faces with his slavering tongue
-Headgear: Pouh's unusually large head is boney and solid, a versatile weapon; his jagged fangs can turn flesh into mulch, his knobby jaws can deliver bone-jarring blows, and his thick skull can leave foes reeling with savage headbutts; in a move he's become famous for, the 'headband headbutt', Pouh will throw his entire body into the air, hold his arms and legs spread wide, and bring his tough cranium smashing into a foe's in a brutal slam
-Whip Tail: Pouh's tail is extremely long, sinuous, and muscular; it can be cracked like a whip, swung like a club, used as a noose, and any number of other things; Pouh is fond of giving foes mocking tickles and flicks with its bristled tip
-Elemental Bursts: like the Five Children of Heaven and Earth, Pouh can control the elements; unlike the practiced ease and elegance of the Five, Pouh-Wung can only summon the elements is quick, unrefined bursts; each part of his body wields a different element- his maw can loose freezing blast of air, his right arms flashes of fire and superheated surges of air, his left arm sprays and streams of water, his legs can send boulders flying, raise jagged rocks, or tear great trees from the ground with mere stomps, and his whip-like tail can create fierce gusts of wind; although individually his elemental powers pale in comparison to the Five's, he can mix his to create unique and dynamic attacks; the slitted pupils of Pouh's black-purple eyes expand to fill the entire socket when he uses these abilities
-Elemental Resistance: like Spars cannot be harmed by flames and Ullraldi by frost, Pouh is highly resistant to both temperature extremes; also resilient against electricity to an extent
-Thick Hide: Pouh's scaly skin is incredibly tough and flexible, able to take brutal punishment before giving way; piercing attacks are especially dulled by the somewhat rubbery hide, as if Pouh was designed to force foes to take him on in the brawls he so loves.

Weaknesses:
-Although Pouh seems especially large even for a kaiju, this is only an illusion caused by his elongated build and large head; he's actually a relative lightweight for his height and can be thrown around if he's not careful
-Pouh is very cocky and likes to toy with foes, often underestimating other giant
-Pouh will try and impressive female monsters that aren't plain horrifying or insectoid, goofing off and letting his guard down

Bio:
Eons ago, before Ketos, before the Five Children of Heaven and Earth, before even Fenris, the Earth decided it needed a guardian, a protector of its forests and mountains and rivers. So it gathered the powers of the planet, the elements- heat, water, wind, earth, and ice- and created a beast to serve as a loyal defender to all life. The tall, slender being was sleek, powerful, and skilled, and it was given the name 'Pouh-Wung'. But there were unforeseen side effects of one body holding all the elements. Because they fought and repelled one another by their very nature, the elements caused chaos within the beast. Its soft, flowing mane became jagged and spiked. Its snow white hide was dirtied, its purity polluted by other colors. From its slick body grew spikes and spines and spurs and crests. Its long, slender snout grew knotted and gnarled, and its gentle lavender eyes darkened to a blackish-purple hue. And as the guardian's body was corrupted, so was its mind. While it was suppose to be a caring, compassionate being that fought only for the good of the weak and helpless, it became a battle-hungry bully, shoving around the very creatures it was meant to protect. Distraught by its imperfect creation, the Earth locked Pouh away, sealing him deep within a grand mountain and placing four other peaks around him to lock him away forever. The guardian-gone-bad was a flawed first try, a failure, but the planet couldn't bear to destroy one of its own creations.

Now knowing that the elements must be separated, the Earth created new guardians, this time assisted by the wisdom of the Heavens. Together, Earth and Heaven created their five children. There was Aeolshu, noble and true, the oldest of the Five. Then there was Kharbios, fierce and proud. Then came two, the bold Spars and the wise Araad. Finally, curious and bright young Ullraldi was created, the final and most promising of the Five. Together, these five guardians were the Children of Heaven and Earth, sworn to protect the planet and all its inhabitants. Unfortunately, not all went well. Kharbios was slain by a young, powerful sea dragon, Ketos, and his powers were stolen. Soon after, Ullraldi went mad in the lonesome tundras and turned against his remaining siblings. Horrified that so much could go wrong for a second time, the Earth struck the remaining four of its children with a deep sleep, an eons-long hibernation. So shaken was it, the Earth never created anything ever again, instead allowing life to flow naturally and produce its own guardians. With new tragedies to fret over, Earth and its subjects all but forgot Pouh-Wung. As the years pasted and new ages rose and fell, the name of the guardian-gone-bad was forgotten and so was he himself.

Until only a few weeks after Invasion Day that is.

Although releasing all the kaiju in the Giant's Gates was a move that ultimately saved Earth from conquest by the Nentuson, recollecting all the rampant monsters was a problem in itself. The G.A.K.F. had run itself ragged trying to gather back up all the freed giants. Many were heavily wounded and went with little to no struggle. Some actually returned to the Giant's Gates willingly, identifying the great manmade structures as home now. But, of course, there were troublemakers. Plume, Avenger, and Sid- the only G.A.K.F. monsters available- were constantly on the move, hunting down wayward monsters. Jake had not been seen since his mother's death, fleeing into the jungles of Mexico to mourn privately. Reaper had also vanished into the lush forests, and Zelus was reduced to a pile of cobalt gore. Two monsters that posed a particularly big problem, Drid and Queen Coil, had been avoiding the G.A.K.F. for days now, Plume pursuing them all the way. It seemed that the tricky duo might finally be caught in eastern China, chased straight into the ring of sacred mountains there. Using the mountains to conceal himself from the pair, Plume managed to surprise Drid and Coil at Mount Song, the center of the sacred mountains. Scrambling over the great peak, the hero chased the runaway pair over Song. But all the commotion they caused woke something up, something ancient and restless.

Stirred by the two Age of Giants, disturbed by the Nentuson invasion, and finally awoken by three monster running right over his tomb, Pouh-Wung rose from his ageless slumber!

The sacred mountain split in half, and a massive head thrust itself out, uttering a triumphant howl as it breathed in for the first time in thousand of centuries. Figuring there was nothing better to start off a new millennium with that a good scrap, Pouh seized Drid and Queen Coil in a double headlock, cracking their skulls together. Dropping the unconscious monster at his feet, Pouh went after Plume next. The noble lizard was a formidable brawler, imitating human fighting moves, but Pouh was stronger and far more vicious. Blow by blow, punch by kick, Plume was beat down, rendered bruised and bloody by the brutal ancient. With one final swing to the head, Pouh dropped Plume, the G.A.K.F. monster out cold. Smiling maliciously, the guardian-gone-bad placed a heavy foot of Plume's chest and gripped his limp arm, preparing to twist it out of socket.

A barrage of anti-kaiju rounds exploded against his back, bowling him over with the thunder of gunfire!

Bounding up the rubble of scared Mount Song, Jake arrived to rescue his friend. Pouh tried to smash the smaller monster with a two-fisted, hammer-like downward swing, but the enraged runt pounced on him quicker than he could react. Pounding the bigger giant with missiles and scalding him with pointblank aurora beams, Jake took the upper hand in an alarming turnaround. Although Pouh fought and thrashed in indignant outrage, the berserk G.A.K.F. beast was too much. A close range blast from the Hide Busters punched into his chest, and Pouh was send packing with blood pouring from his gored breast. Gathering his fallen friend, Jake finally returned home.

Although his defeat by Jake was a setback for the ancient, Pouh-Wung wasn't down quite yet.

Appearing before the remaining Children of Heaven and Earth, Pouh challenged what were essentially his replacements. Although Pouh was outnumbered and still severely wounded, the Five were still recovering from the brutal beating the received from Metataurus. They were no match. Taking them on one by one, Pouh downed the guardians. Aeolshu was yanked from the air and smashed into the ground like a play toy, hurled into his siblings like a living, breathing flail. Spars was tackled to the ground and beat savagely by spiked fists, blood pouring from countless gashed a cross his muzzle, brow, and neck. Heaving both up at once, Pouh wrapped Aeolshu around Spars like a mink skin and tossed both away. But when Pouh-Wung faced Araad, he began acting strangely. Instead of avoiding blows, he took them head-on, purposely receiving blows to the jaw and gut. He put on flashy shows with his elemental bursts, creating whirls of fire, spires of ice, and towers of stone. It soon became clear the ancient beast was flirting with Araad, teasingly swiping her muzzle with his tail or lapping at her cheek with his disgusting tongue. Naturally, the Earth Dragoness didn't take it well and doubled her efforts to smash the foolish creature. The Punk King was not happy with this. Eyes darkening, the forsaken warrior decided he would woo Araad by beating her until she wished he would make her his. Attacking the weakened guardian viciously, Pou was ready to increase her wounds tenfold, getting a good start within moments of getting serious.

Swamping the battlefield with a surge of seawater and announcing his presence with a mighty holler, Ketos joined the battle.

Seizing Pouh in a spiral of water and claiming he was "even more arrogant than I am", Ketos fought with Araad, the injured defender using her terrakinesis to support the sea dragon. Together, the two drove Pouh away, Araad jamming her Gaia Staff into his gaping chest wound in a show of unusual mercilessness for the final move. As Araad graciously thanked Ketos and the oceanic monster scornfully rejected her gratitude with insults, Pouh-Wung retreated back to the sacred mountains to recover. He may have been trumped twice, but the Punk King was more tenacious than that. He was far from over with this word, especially the Children of Heaven and Earth and Ketos.

Additional Information: Told ya' I wanted to get this guy out soon! He's definitely one of my new favorites. Awesome backstory, great design, and lovably flawed personality. Could be considered a tribute to Rosie, with his mainly white coat and mohawk. I wanted to give him a nose ring, then I realized everyone's favorite walrus had that covered, so instead he has two curved spikes curling from his nostrils to give the impression of a ring.

Oh, and Pouh is pronounced like 'pow'.
